William Shakespeare's infamous play, Romeo and Juliet, is a tale of two lovers, whose families are feuding, and will do whatever it takes to stay together forever. Come enjoy a magical evening of Shakespeare performed by Texas' most talented high school-aged performers with Shakespeare Under the Stars.
The Taming of the Shrew
"Come, come, you wasp, i'faith you are too angry."
"If I be waspish, best beware my sting."
(September 10-October 2, 2010, Friday & Saturday nights at 8pm)
William Shakespeare's great comedy involves a beautiful and gentle Bianca, who has no shortage of admirers but her father insists that she will not marry until her shrewish sister, Katharina, is betrothed as well. Only the wild Petruchio is up for the task, and even that has its price. The audience is in for a rollercoaster of crazy and hilarious antics, witty sarcasm, and a bout of wildness that can only be tamed by true love.
