About Us

The EmilyAnn Theatre was founded on August 1, 1998 to celebrate the life of Emily Ann Rolling, a vivacious 16-year-old, who lost her life in a car accident in 1996. The theatre provides a home for Shakespeare Under the Stars, a unique educational program for high school students in which Emily excelled as both an actress and a costume designer. Shakespeare Under the Stars is now in its 12th year at the EmilyAnn. We have expanded the scope of our work to include a variety of community and cultural events.

Our mission is to reinvest in the dignity of the human spirit. Our goals are:

to provide theatre and arts education,
to provide cultural opportunities for audiences of all ages, and
to offer activities and gathering spaces for the community.
