Hello EmilyAnn Supporters!
As we look forward to 2025, we look back on a year of amazing growth at the EmilyAnn! Just before the new year, we kicked off our Trail of Lights and welcomed over 30,000 people to our grounds to celebrate the holiday season. As January arrived, we hosted the Songwriters Workshop and then began planning for our 5000 caterpillars to arrive in March. With them came the joy of preparing for our inspiring Butterfly Festival!
As spring dawned, lots of sports enthusiasts and people just beginning to discover racket sports came out to our newly constructed tennis and pickleball courts. We also enjoyed watching visitors playing ping pong, chess, frisbee golf and gaga ball. So much fun!!
Wow! After lots of planning in 2023, we were able to watch everyone enjoy the fruits of our labor in 2024. Now, with your support, we hope to continue to plan and grow in 2025. We have lots of new ideas but will of course continue with our time-honored traditions and activities that have touched so many lives.
This year we welcomed back many of our treasured friends and also welcomed many visitors who were visiting the EmilyAnn for the first time! Trail of Lights and Butterfly Day drew most of these new visitors; however, our new sports offerings, theatrical productions, camps, and enhanced gardens also played a part in helping introduce them to the EmilyAnn.
- In April, the Butterfly Festival welcomed over 5500 visitors and over 5000 butterflies took flight!
- The Trail of Lights returned in December of 2023 and lit up the valley for over 30,000 visitors!
- Our acting camps thrived this summer and introduced eager thespians to the joys of theatre!
- Our flagship, Shakespeare Under the Stars, lit up our outdoor stage again this year and brought the world of William Shakespeare to life for our students and their friends and families.
- Theatrical productions continued to grace our beautiful stages with our production of "Into the Woods" in the spring and our two signature Christmas productions during Trail of Lights.
- Our veterans took center stage at the top of our hill where they are honored, remembered and celebrated throughout the year, especially during ceremonies on Memorial Day and Patriot Day.
- Over 15 community organizations enjoyed our indoor meeting space to hold their meetings on a monthly, and sometimes weekly, basis. The space also provided a beautiful area to organize, and work on, service projects.
- Our sculpture gardens and memorial gardens continued to provide a place for friends and families to remember, celebrate, and honor their loved ones.
- Couples expressed their love and joined their lives as they celebrated their weddings and receptions at the EmilyAnn.
We believe that offering a place for people to gather, celebrate, commemorate, play, enjoy art, or simply relax in nature provide a much-needed respite from the rigors and complexities of everyday life.
The EmilyAnn is solely funded by private donations so your financial support allows us to continue to share the beauty of the EmilyAnn with the Central Texas community and to continue to spread our mission, "To Invest in the Dignity of the Human Spirit."
